By the Grace of God the Bible Seminar in Aeta Village ends victoriously!
This town is a peaceful abode for Aeta and the spring to make for their living. They welcome us with open hearts and accepted the gospel easily.
In the quiet small place of IYF Center we gathered to hear and study the Word of God for four nights. Almost 50 Aetas and Non-Aetas attended the seminar. We separate the Adult from the young ones, so that they can fully comprehend the gospel and to prevent the program from any destructions. Ptr. Jun Paquera a local Pastor of Bagong Silang Church leads the Bible Seminar. He share the gospel boldly and with sense of humor that makes the attendees at ease and happy. He speaks about Salvation, how to clean and forgive our sins by God in an understandable manner. He also informed them about the mark of the beast which was spreading in the western country particularly in the United States of America. We can sense that they don’t have knowledge about it nor aware of it.
Every morning we have Dance Academy and some of us went out to share the gospel. And every afternoon we went to “tarik” it’s a high peak place in the said town to have a bible study there. One Church opened their hearts so they invited us and share the good news with them. We noticed that they are hungry for the Word of God but later on, we found out that the reason why they went to church is for them to be saved. So we are glad to share the true gospel we have and clearly tell them what and how Jesus works for it. The bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9: 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. We have emphasized as well how God forgive their past present and future sins in Hebrews 10:17: 17And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
For the short period of time, we have noticed that the reasons why they are unable to attend to the seminar are: Busyness, they work in the mountain for their food, religious beliefs and they used to received gifts or foods from religious groups when they were invited. That’s why some of them hardened their hearts and ignore the Word of God. And also, due to their kind or ways of life many of the young Aetas married at an early age so they stopped from dreaming and accepted their situation with no hopes.
The four days were not enough to fully introduce the love and plans of God for them because we believe that it is a continuous process. Thank God there was an IYF Center in that place and a servant of God that can able to fully equip them with the Word of God. As we bid goodbye, we have hopes in our hearts that definitely we should have to go back and preached the gospel again.
